One of the world's most famous photographers, whose work was on view at the Center for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in 1998. The artist works in portrait, documentary and reportage photography. Since 1970 she has been associated with Rolling Stone magazine, for which she documented the tour of The Rolling Stone band, and eventually served as photo director. She was the author of the famous photo of John Lennon and Yoko Ono just before the artist's tragic death. Since 1983, she worked for Vanity Fair as a freelance photographer. Since then, actresses such as Demi Moore portrayed pregnant and Whoopi Goldberg depicted in a bathtub filled with milk have been models in front of her lens. In 1999, she published, together with Susan Sontag, the book Women. She is the author of photographs for the 2000 Pirelli calendar. Since the 1980s, Annie Leibovitz's photos have appeared in well-known American and European magazines and journals: "Time", "Newsweek", "New York Times", "Life", "Paris Match", "London Independent Magazine", "Stern".
