Artistic work for Edward Dwurnik was a way of life. He painted a lot and intensely. Sometimes he even had several canvases spread out on easels in his studio and synchronously created them. Hence there were many analogous subjects. Were they a search for the right form? It seems that the artist derived joy in life from painting similarly to many other aspects of life such as bodily sensations. He mentions that during his studies he "hooked up" with the sculpture studio of the Warsaw Academy. Why? Because there were definitely more handsome women there, not afraid to get dirty. Edward Dwurnik's canvases are popular among collectors, but they rub off on mass visual culture. However, this does not detract from his works. Such is the case with the flowers - more specifically, the tulips, whose simplified form and vivid hues, simplified to a few brushstrokes, bring to mind, according to Jan Boncza-Szabłowski, female sexual organs. This subtle metaphor awakens the imagination.
