Natalia LL's art is still gaining new meanings today. In the years 1972-1975, when the
the artist conducted a documentary project that consisted of photographing the
manifestations of everyday life such as eating - consuming,
at the same time she was active together with, among others, Andrzej Lachowicz and Zbigniew
Dlubak in the Permafo group preaching the postulate of "Permanent Art" - the
recording current events. It quickly became apparent that the ordinary process of
of eating stopped and reproduced in frames could be interpreted
as a semi-erotic, partly disgusting act - if, for example, the photographed
model, for example, the liquid being spit out trickles down her chin. It can also touch a chord
of consumer culture, in the time of communist Poland - the scarcity of goods, in the 90s - the need to acquire and surround oneself with things.
the need to acquire and surround oneself with things. In subsequent decades and
during social transformations, Natalia LL's work began to be considered
also in the context of feminism. This multi-layered interpretation,
presumptions of intentions, is unlikely to be exhausted, but gives an excellent
picture of what conceptual art is, in whose current she worked
Natalia LL.
